Working alongside Plan-It-Vicki and our longtime entertainment partner ET Events Group, we handled the full creative production: branding design, furniture, lighting, video, layout planning, and on-site execution.

From the initial walk-through to the final install, our team delivered a cohesive look that tied the theme together while keeping it elevated and appropriate for a luxury hotel ballroom. This project showcases how Event Fab supports planners and entertainment companies with white-label fabrication, rentals, and design services across CT, NY, MA, and RI.

The Vision & Creative Direction

For this Bar Mitzvah, the family wanted a celebration that blended hockey energy with modern sophistication. Plan-It-Vicki brought Event Fab in to conceptualize and produce a fully branded experience that would feel immersive, polished, and exciting from the moment guests walked in.

Our creative process began with a detailed site visit at The Goodwin Hotel in Hartford, CT, where we assessed layout options, ceiling height, lighting possibilities, and high-impact entry points. From there, we developed mood boards, color palettes, logo concepts, and custom thematic artwork inspired by the guest of honor’s favorite sport.

The goal was simple: transform the ballroom into an upscale, hockey-inspired environment featuring bold graphics, custom furniture, dynamic lighting, and engaging visual moments—while ensuring everything felt cohesive, functional, and guest-friendly. With a collaborative approach between the planner, ET Events Group, and our fabrication team, we created a seamless event experience from concept to installation.

Our team handled all creative, visual, and production elements for this build, ensuring every detail tied into the hockey theme while maintaining a sleek, event-grade finish.

Every element was produced with event-grade materials such as Acrylic, Vinyl, MDF and more ensuring durability, premium finishing, and a cohesive high-impact look throughout the space.

Behind the Build

  • Executing this hockey-themed Bar Mitzvah at The Goodwin Hotel required detailed pre-production and close collaboration with both Plan-It-Vicki and ET Events Group. After conducting our initial site visit, we developed custom renderings, artwork concepts, and a complete room layout that aligned with the family’s vision. Our goal was to blend the excitement of a hockey arena with the elevated atmosphere of a historic hotel ballroom, ensuring every element—from branding to lighting—felt intentional and cohesive.

    On installation day, timing and coordination were critical. Our team synchronized the placement of décor, branding, lounge groupings, lighting design, and video elements to ensure a seamless final environment. Working side-by-side with ET Events Group allowed us to match entertainment moments with the design, creating a unified experience. Once the space was fully built, every detail came together to form an immersive and energetic celebration that felt both high-end and completely custom to the guest of honor.

Planning & Pre-Production

Our process began months before event day with a full site visit to evaluate load-in paths, ceiling heights, power access, and spatial opportunities. Using this information, we built a complete event layout, mood board package, and branded artwork concepts aligned with the client’s vision.

Once the creative direction was approved, we moved into fabrication, large-format printing, and pre-building elements to ensure quality and accuracy. Our production timeline included CNC cutting, paint finishing, vinyl application, furniture coordination, and lighting planning in partnership with ET Events Group.

In the days leading up to the event, our team managed logistics, delivery scheduling, and communication with the planner and hotel staff. On installation day, every element was placed precisely according to the approved layout, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and stress-free setup for the entire creative team.
