Event Fab partnered with the Havas Formula team to produce two high-energy pop-up experiences for Mike’s Hard Lemonade — one in New York City and one in Los Angeles. What began as a simple bar rental request evolved into a complete event production collaboration featuring immersive attractions, custom scenic builds, interactive installations, and bold, brand-forward environments.

The campaign was designed around scientific insights into what sparks joy and boosts happiness. Our role was to bring those findings to life through a series of playful, unexpected, and highly interactive experiences — from a massive adult ball pit to a beverage conveyor belt, and even a lemon-themed infinity room. The result was an unforgettable brand activation that delivered impact, visibility, and extraordinary engagement.

A Happiness-Driven Brand Activation

Mike’s Hard Lemonade wanted to design a campaign rooted in measurable happiness. Leveraging research into the sensory and emotional triggers that spark joy, their team — alongside Havas Formula — crafted an activation strategy full of movement, color, play, and interactivity. Event Fab was brought in to transform these concepts into physical experiences that thousands of guests could explore and enjoy.

The activation included multiple immersive zones, each intentionally crafted to deliver a different “happiness hit.” Our team engineered custom builds, scenic elements, and interactive features to ensure every moment felt fun, elevated, and on-brand. Behind the Build

Producing two large-scale pop-ups in separate cities required extensive coordination, strong logistics, and thoughtful engineering. Our team began by reviewing the activation concepts developed by Havas Formula, translating creative ideas into buildable scenic elements. We created plans for the ball pit footprint, conveyor belt rail paths, photo infinity room geometry, karaoke car staging, and lounge layouts to ensure everything aligned with the brand narrative and guest flow.

Execution involved building and transporting large scenic pieces, staging interactive elements, and installing each attraction on-site with precision. Each component had to withstand high guest traffic while remaining visually flawless. Once installed, the activations felt playful, polished, and fully immersive — perfectly capturing the joyful spirit of Mike’s Hard Lemonade.

Planning & Pre-Production

Our planning process included mapping guest flow, engineering multiple interactive zones, and developing scenic elements that were safe, durable, and easy to install across two high-profile locations. We prepared renderings, structural plans, branding integration, and installation schedules for both markets.

Pre-production also included custom fabrication, testing interactive components, staging the conveyor system, and preparing the lemon infinity room for transport. On-site, our teams in NYC and LA executed rapid builds while coordinating with Havas Formula to ensure every attraction was aligned with the creative vision and brand guidelines.
